What is Prologue?

More of the 4 is a new social health and wellbeing experience for everyone.

A neuroscience-based burst of healthy living immediately improves how you think and feel by enhancing brain function.

How do I get started?

Use the Prologue app to create your free Prologue account. Once you verify your email address, log into the app using your Prologue credentials (you login with the email address you provided when registering). If you don’t recall your password, you can reset it by tapping the "reset password" button in the Prologue app.

Missing verification email from us?
Once you submit your Prologue account registration via the Prologue app, the system will automatically send a verification email to the address you provided. Sometimes these messages end up in spam folders, so be sure to check there if you don’t see it in your regular inbox within 10 minutes of creating your account.

If you can’t locate the verification email, please contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.

In order for users to get the most from the app and provide a great experience, we have several needed device permissions we request from each user.

  • Camera - We ask for access to your camera. Photos and videos are essential to the experience, bringing focus to daily routines and adding valuable context to your data.
  • Microphone - We only use your microphone to record audio when you create a video log or a Kudos for a teammate.
  • Photos - Allowing the app access to your camera's photo library enables you to add a previously saved photo or video to a post.
  • Notifications - The app uses notifications or alerts to prompt users to posts, notifiies them of chat messages and remind them to support their teammates. Completing a More of the 4 program is much easier if notifications are enabled.
  • Motion & Fitness - The app notes when you are in motion, allowing you to be more accurate in your exercise and sleep posts.
  • Health - Workouts, sleep and other data you collect in the Apple Health app or via the Apple watch will automatically appear in your feed and can then be used to readily create a post.
  • Location - See where you are when making a post by including the nearest city and state. Your location data is only used when you submit a post and for no other purposes.

You need a Program Key to create a team
Each More of the 4 experience is sponsored by select schools, employers, community organizations and other groups.

Your organization will give you a Program Key to use to Create a Team.
If your school, employer, or community organization is sponsoring a More of the 4 experience, you may have the opportunity to join a weekly program. Space is limited, so check with program administrators if you have questions. Follow the steps below to CREATE a team.

You may also receive an invitation from a friend, family member, or colleague to JOIN their team. This is a 6 digit code and the app will ask you for it when you select "Join an existing team" (see below for instructions on how to join a team).

Creating a team
To create a team, you'll need to have a Program Key, which is provided by your organization. After you've created your account, you'll see an option saying "Let's get you on a team!". Select this option, then choose "Create a team", next enter the Program Key.

Name your team
After you've answered a few short questions about yourself and your behavior habits, you'll be asked to name your team. After entering the team name, you’ll see a roster with 3 spaces remaining. Tap “Invite a team member” to share your team's unique invitation code to friends or family members via text, email, or any other way you’d like to share the code. Your partners do not need to be a member of your school, employer, etc! Invite anyone you think will benefit from building brain-healthy routines and help you stay engaged with the experience.

When your partners receive the code, they will need create an account and verify their email address. They will then enter your team’s unique 6-digit code to join your team and answer the personalization questions to secure their spot. Remember you need a full team to participate in the experience. All of your teammates must join the team by 11:59 PM on the Saturday night before your experience begins (experiences always begin on Monday)

After you've created your account, you will see an option saying Let's get you on a team!". Select this option, then choose join an existing team, and enter the unique Team Code sent to you by your friend, colleague, etc. The app will instruct you on how to proceed from there.

Participating in a More of the 4 experience

No. Our hope is that everyone who wants to do a More of the 4 experience is able to participate. At the same time, years of product research have demonstrated that the support and accountability that comes with our small team format is crucial to succeeding with the experience.

Post consistently throughout the day
We recommend a minimum of 8 photo or video posts each day to fully experience the benefits of the More of the 4 program. Each post takes just a minute or two. Your app will send reminders from time to time to post.

Strive to get More of the Four, every day, for 4 days
The More of the Four daily goals are as follows:

  • 8 hours of sleep
  • 5 servings of fruits & vegetables
  • 30 minutes of exercise
  • 64 ounces of hydration
For the best results, participants should enter at least 8 photo or video posts per day in the app to document their choices, how they think and feel, and other factors that affect their daily routines.

Yes. Research has demonstrated that the process of taking photographs can increase our attention and engagement in different situations – two factors that help to maximize the More of the 4 experience.

Documenting with photos and videos brings new focus to our daily routines and adds valuable context to your data. Be as creative as you wish, without overthinking it. Each post takes just a minute or two, and it's most effective to capture your choices in the moment.

Your More of the 4 experience should be a reflection of your real life. Have fun with your photos and videos, without overthinking it. Take a simple picture as a visual representation of what you’re doing or what’s going on around you. Snap what you see, tag the details, and move on with your day.

Some popular examples: yoga mat for activity, bedside table for sleep, a sandwich or coffee cup for food/drink, or your desk to indicate a meeting or schoolwork.

In the app, when creating a post you’ll find a small camera icon in the top right corner that will provide suggestions when you need some inspiration! Simply tap the icon to view various ideas.

During the experience, you’ll be asked to document how much and how well you sleep, everything you eat and drink, when you move, and contextual details like stress, mood, relationships, finances, illness, even current events.

With each post, you’ll be prompted to take a photo and tag the details. Each post takes about a minute; aim for at least 8-10 posts per day across all of the different categories, such as:

  • 1 sleep post
  • 4 or 5 food and drink posts
  • 1 exercise post
  • 2 details & context posts
  • 1 thinking & feeling post

You can add posts from earlier in the day, but don't wait too long! Posts cannot be added to previous days.

You can edit any post within the same day. Go to the Progress view, then select the post you need to correct. The post will open and display a summary of all the information and tags you have previously recorded. Tap the 'pencil icon' in the upper right-hand corner, this opens your post for editing. Move through the posting flow by tapping next in the lower right-hand corner until you reach the screen which needs to be changed. Once you have completed your addtion or deletion to the post, then tap 'Save Changes', located on the bottom of the screen.

Everyone’s photos and videos will be shared within the team unless you choose to set a post to private by tapping the eye icon while creating your post.

About 5-10 minutes per day: 1-2 minutes at a time, every couple of hours.

The app's intelligent messaging features send timely reminders and updates on both individual and team daily progress.

KUDOS are unique video messages, created by you, your teammates, mutual acquantences and special guests that are delivered to you after you create a Post. The KUDOS that you and your teammates create for one another are only delivered when you hit the daily goals.

You can begin creating KUDOS for your teammates as soon as you join a team. You can create KUDOS throughout the entirety of the 4 day experience. Be creative, supportive, or funny and you'll find that KUDOS are a great way to motivate one another to keep hitting those goals!

The Regimen
Prologue’s neuroscience-based, More of the Four regimen is challenging, but achievable! Most people who start the experience succeed, and 92% of them want to do it again. Specifically, the regimen includes:

  • 8 or more photo/video logs per day (each log takes 1-2 mins)
  • 8 hours of sleep per day
  • 5 servings of fruits & vegetables per day
  • 30 minutes of exercise per day
  • 64 ounces of water per day

The Prologue app is available via the US App Store only, but participants may reside anywhere in the world. All participant data is stored on Amazon servers located in the United States of America.

A wearable device is not required, however Prologue can sync with Apple Health (and the wearable data that you store there) to automatically import your sleep, motion, and workout data. Be sure you give Prologue access to the Health app permission when you install Prologue.

Yes, the evidence is clear. Prologue’s daily behavior guidelines were selected because they represent fundamental requirements for normal brain function.

The specific daily goals are based on the body of scientific literature that has guided recommendations set by the Department of Health & Human Services, USDA, the National Sleep Foundation, Mayo Clinic, and other leading institutions and organizations.

Prologue participants do not purchase or subscribe. Access to the experience and any incentives are provided by organizational partners and brand sponsors who want to promote brain health, productivity, and emotional wellbeing.

Experiences start every Monday. You’ll find your experience’s start date in the app and the email confirmation you received when you enrolled.

Start your More of the 4 experience right when you wake up on Monday morning by launching the app to post how much and how well you slept. Take a photo or video to document your surroundings, what you're doing, or how you feel. The sunrise, pets, or bed-head selfies are all great options for your first post of the day.

R65 is named for the map room of Winston Churchill’s war cabinet rooms (Room 65) — a stunning example of large-scale data visualization and resource coordination for maximum impact.
